Brooklyn
Our stay in Brooklyn was short and sweet, made slightly less sweet by a bout of car trouble as we were en route. Although we planned to spend Friday night in Brooklyn with Ally and Yoon, we ended up needing to push our stay by a night after our radiator crapped out on us when we were just an hour and a half outside the city. One night and hundreds of dollars later, we found ourselves back en route to the city!
Our stay with Ally and Yoon was brief but fun! We got dinner at one of their favorite restaurants, an Israeli place named Miss Ada which had dangerously delicious pita bread. We spent the rest of the night hanging out and catching up in Ally and Yoon’s (very tasteful) apartment with another good friend/Monte Vista alum, Travis. Daniel, as always, delighted in hearing them reminisce on good ol’ times from Monte Vista and USC for the umpteenth time!
We began our hike out to North Carolina the following day after an odyssey (we got our steps in!) to a must-do bagel shop in Brooklyn with Ally and Yoon (and Otis!). We bid them adieu and then began the second odyssey of the day to the southernmost destination of our trip!
